Flashback – New Zealand Festival

News from 2016 that never quite got posted…


The New Zealand Festival brings the best live arts experiences from across the world to audiences in Wellington, New Zealand. Thanks to a fabulous School Fest programme, over 100 Newlands College studewp-1457221252351.jpgnts were able to taste a number of the shows. To share these incredible experiences, we have some snapshot reviews from some of those lucky students.

Te Po – “It was an odd way of telling the story of a missing writer. Fascinating storytelling that included a giraffe and a human sized fish” – Paris Renalson

La Verita – “It was a visually stunning intertwining of art and theatre, achieved by outstanding circus performers” – Danica Fontein

Dead Dog in a Suitcase (And Other Love Songs) – “Absolutely fastastic theatre. The blend of the the different music, from opera to pop to dub step was a symphony to our ears” – Dylan Jones

Cafe Muller/The Rite of Spring – “A passionate display of dance and incredible energy. Would see again” – Mr Cargill
