Sheliah Winn was a really great experience for our group of actors representing four different year groups from Year 9 to Year 12. Most of us were involved last year where we also did a scene from A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This year the scene that we performed came from the end of the play, where a highlight was Bottom’s death where he stabs himself many times in a ridiculous over-the-top way. It was a great journey being involved in the performance and it was great to have the opportunity to perform in front of a large crowd at Wellington East Girls’ College. There were many other performances on the night from other Wellington schools. In the end we only earned a participation award, but we are already looking forward to be involved again next year.
