Be the change you want to see in the world
We began our day off with meeting outside the hall at 7:55 from there we took a lovely taxi drive into town, the view of the harbour was stunning, the sun just climbing over the hills and shining down upon the still water. When we got to Shed 6, we got name stickers which had a country on them and a space for you to write your name. After filling out our entry form we huddled together as we made our way through the busy floor filled with many students from different schools.
We learned about horrors of the war in Syria that has been going on for 5 years,
5 years! People losing their loved ones and seeing them die right before their eyes. Children under 5 years old; their childhood a war: bombs, death and refugee camps. This year’s 40 hour famine is going to be raising money for the refugee children.
I personally want to see more children getting better resources and daily necessities, I want to give these children a peaceful childhood. To make that happen was must give. Feel free to check out the World Vision 40 Hour Famine site to see where your donations will go for the children of Syrian refugee camps.
