The Level Two Drama students traveled to the City and Sea Museum to learn about the Wahine disaster that occurred in 1968. We spoke to two survivors and they told us some stories of their experiences including some truly heroic tales. We learnt about all the history of it and we got to see some of the things that were actually on the Wahine. This included the life jackets, which we got to try on to see what it was like. We are now using that experience to string to a piece together which will be performed at the museum on the 6th April. The museum has other parts of Wellington’s history in it, like a stuffed lion; it is really interesting and worth checking out!
