A general reminder to parents and students about some absences systems. We have a vigilant attendance checking system and it helps to have everyone on the same page. The following are reminders from school newsletters earlier in the year:

If your son/daughter is absent from school, please ring the college absence line on 474 1338 before 9.00 am and leave a message stating the student’s name, form class and reason for the absence. If your son/daughter is not present in period one, and a message has not been left, we will attempt to contact a parent or guardian.

On occasion, parents request that their son/ daughter be absent from college. Quite often this is around the end and start of holidays so that parents can take advantage of cheaper travel fares. It is a legal requirement that parents ensure their children are in attendance at school for much of the year as possible. If you are planning to take your son or daughter out of school, can you please contact the Principal to discuss the matter.
